Maymester Marketing Class

As of last Wednesday, I am taking my first marketing class at UNCW. It is MKT 340 which is principles of marketing. It is referred to as a "Maymester class" because it is in May before summer classes start, and only lasts 10 days. I was excited for this option because it is a good way to get this credit over with in a few days. With that being said though, I am very interested in this subject and have already learned so much.

I am learning about how marketing works and the best ways to satisfy consumers. As I have previously stated, I am a psychology major and when I tell people I am interested in marketing they usually look down on me because of my major. I have learned in my class though that marketing is extremely psychological. I have been able to confirm my suspicion that those skills will help me in a career in marketing. I am enjoying learning about how consumers behave in the ways they do, and what can persuade them to purchase specific products or services.

I am super excited to learn more about this subject and become more able to apply marketing skills in my professional life.
