Marketing Intern

It is surreal to me that I get to call myself a marketing intern. Not only can I do this in my personal life, but also on my professional platforms. I was hired yesterday by an outside company I applied for via Handshake.

I am excited to be working as an intern for Hues of Violet LLC, as well as Taylor Davis Reese Creative LLC. Both are fashion brands owned by female small business owners. This is something I really like because I can learn from powerful entrepreneurial women. I am so excited to gain more skills in order to become a more well rounded person and employee in the marketing department.

I truly believe that even if you do not meet all the necessary qualifications for a certain opportunity in your life, you should still go for it. I think that if you are a well rounded person who is passionate about the work you are doing and you can prove yourself through a good work ethic, you can do anything you want.

I am a perfect example of this. I am on track to receive my bachelor's degree in psychology. I am not a business major. Despite this, I have great communication skills, a strong work ethic, and am learning the skills needed for the jobs I aspire to have one day at a time. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to become a more skillful professional, and to learn about the fashion industry first hand through my experience in marketing.

I am excited to continue to expand my network and meet new people in the professional world. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me and my professional career.
