Hues of Violet

I am so excited to make Hues of Violet my first local business to talk about. I started working for the company back in November and let me tell y'all this is the best job I have ever had. Hues of Violet opened in 2022 in Downtown Wilmington and is owned and operated by Samantha Balzano (my boss!). She is a badass entrepreneur who is amazing at everything she does. She was recently featured in a piece by "Wilma," a Wilmington editorial magazine that features successful local businesswomen.

The store offers in store, and online shopping with local pick up for all items purchased online. Recently HoV has been involved in hosting and planning many local pop-ups and events with other small businesses. For example, Sam planned and executed a "Self-Love Summit" this month featuring a panel of amazing local businesswomen, leadership workshops, confidence building seminars, and a mini market of local vendors.

It is truly has been a great experience learning from someone like Sam. She is such a kind and caring person, and goes the extra mile for her customers, employees, and friends. I honestly never run out of positive things to say about the business and about Sam and her character. I am so excited to show off some of my favorite new pieces we recently got in store for our summer collection!

Starting off strong, the "Strapless Tie Back Mini Dress." This dress is so flattering and gorgeous for anything this summer and spring. It is the perfect vacation or graduation dress. I am so excited to wear this dress out and style it with my favorite gold accessories and my tan woven sandals. I am wearing a size medium, and it is very true to size. The back has an elastic back, and a double tie. The strapless neckline is extremely flattering and offers great coverage while still being very stylish.

The next item I want to show off is the new "Mini Tiered Ruffle Dress." This dress is a satin material and is a beautiful summer green with shimmering texture I just love. It is extremely soft and shines in the sun. I personally sized down and am wearing a size small, and I recommend doing the same if you purchase this item. The ruffle details are so fun for summer and the length hits my leg in a great spot.
